1,000 vacas
The other night I made plans to meet a friend, another volunteer, at a dance this Saturday. When she told her Salvadoran boyfriend that I would be there, he immediately called another friend to go as my date. I was a little alarmed. Oh no, he assured us, this guy has money. He owns 1,000 cows.

Rodil brought this baby armadillo over to show me as I was waiting for the youth to leave for a hike. Most likely they have eaten it. What to say?
